Meet Frank Ciervo
Certified Welder & Founder of The Welder's Guide
Frank Ciervo is a certified welder and the founder of The Welder's Guide. With over 22 years of experience in the welding trade, Frank has worked across a wide range of industries — from structural steel and pipe welding to automotive fabrication and artistic metalwork. He earned his AWS Certified Welder credential early in his career and went on to achieve multiple endorsements including SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes. After 15 years running his own welding and fabrication shop, Frank created The Welder's Guide to provide both aspiring and experienced welders with clear, practical instruction on techniques, equipment, safety, and career development. He is passionate about trade education and mentors young welders entering the field. Frank lives in Pennsylvania, where his home workshop is always humming with the sound of a grinder.
About The Welder's Guide
Thousands of hours under the hood, a shop full of grinders, and a passion for getting the bead just right — that's what drives The Welder's Guide. This isn't a content mill recycling Wikipedia articles about welding. Every guide we publish comes from real bench time, real mistakes, and the kind of hard-won knowledge you only get from burning through rod after rod until your welds are X-ray quality.
Our Mission
The welding trade is experiencing a serious skilled labor shortage, and too many beginners give up because the learning curve feels overwhelming. We're building the resource we wish we had starting out — clear, no-nonsense instruction that treats you like a future journeyman, not a click to monetize.
